More job losses

Hi everyone.  Sad news today in Dothan.   The Sony plant is closing, leaving about 300 people without a job, including several where I go to church.   After 33 years of operations here,  company officials say production will end sometime this fall.

Attorney General Troy King says Governor Riley is handling the electronic bingo issue the wrong way.  I agree with him and I say let the people vote on a statewide amendment-- not the numerous local amendments now in place.

It was another interesting episode of Lost.  I think Sawyer will find out he's making a bad choice.  Who was the kid he and Locke saw?

I enjoyed singing class at church tonight.  Anyone looking for a friendly place to worship God should visit Westgate Church of Christ at the corner of Westgate Parkway and Choctaw Street.   Check out their website at http://www.westgatechurchofchrist.org/

And thanks to my wife Angie for her kind comments on my first blog.

  1. Hi Jesse,
Unfortunately, the there are quite a few people we know from both the Sony plant that is closing and Country Crossing that already closed that will be looking for jobs in this 'wonderful' economy that Pres. Obama has brought our country into. All we can do is that they all are able to find jobs and are able to survive in the meantime.

I have been a member of Westgate Church of Christ for a little over 2 years now and still love and enjoy the people and the church. The pastor, Brian, is wonderful and open, and the elders and warm and welcoming. It is the only church and congregation I have known or been a part of that makes you feel that you are part of their church family from the first moment you enter the building. If anyone reading this does not have a 'church home' or would like to visit is always welcome to our Christ based church.

LOST: Sawyer is more savvy than you are giving him credit for. He already figured (even in a drunken stupor) that Locke was not Locke! and he did not give away that he was talking to Richard in the woods. He just may be the next 'Jacob' watcher of the island. But, who was the kid? why was the kid having to remind Locke the rules of the game? how long have they been playing this same game? is this the furthest they have ever gotten in the game? The game as in real life is the same a game of GOOD and EVIL.......
